My Grey Stable

Rainy days have always been a personal favorite of mine. The sound, the sight, the smell. There's little better than the pitter of rainfall juxtaposed to a grey atmosphere. Most folks have it in their mind that rainy days means poor, yucky weather. They couldn't be any more wrong. Those people don't have a soul. It's a very important tool in correctly deciphering a rainy day.

It's more than just moisture and drab; far more. Rainfall is the most soothing audial experience you're likely to find. The grey, by itself, may not be anything special. But a true aficionado knows better. The grey is simply a visual trick that showcases the vast artistry of nature. Next time it rains in your neighborhood, take a closer look around you. Lush greens of the trees and grass pop as the grey fades into the backdrop like a matte. Set against those gorgeous greens are the ravishing reds. And that's not the only slight of hand.

The dull whites and tans of the city give way to rich, luxurious saturation. Tarmac is awash and darkened. Cement follows suit. The synthetic walls and glass are imbued with a natural sheen. The glow of streetlights and turn signals is mirrored on every surface. The scene is fresh and invigorated. The city has been baptized.
